Shooter - 'Buildings and Structures'. The result.

Building & Structure

To be honest, we didn't think buildings and structures, obvious as they are, could be interpreted in so many different ways. And seldom do we use such language – but 'wow'! Kudos to all those who took the Shooter challenge and sent in some stunning entries. It's absolute proof that in every unholy combination of brick, concrete, steel and glass there's an element of beauty hidden, waiting to be released. And many of these photos have done just that!

Congratulatory thumps on the back to those who ultimately managed to impress our celebrity judge Radhika Raj.

Radhika RajAbout the Judge:For ace photographer Radhika Raj, photography is more an addiction than a vocation. She specialises in People, Lifestyle and Travel Photography but is especially fond of shooting people. Glance through her stunning portfolio and you are relieved that Radhika picked her camera over her T-square post architecture school.

Shooter will be back. With yet another uncommon photochallenge.

The play of shadow and light makes this a very interesting composition. I feel that a good juxtaposition of shadow and structures makes for good images and the same has been beautifully executed here.

THE PRIZE: Rakesh Shelar wins the Epson PictureMate PM215.

I really liked both the above for the First runner up. Image on the left is all about the detailing and texture while the one on the right is about perfection in a structure. Thus, I feel both deserve the honor. The image is all about simplicity and I love the composition reassuring me of the hidden beauty of simple lines in our ever-chaotic world.

I love the lines in the image giving a futuristic feel to the entire composition rightfully captioned "science fiction". The feel of the image is solitary and strong and it definitely caught my attention.
