December 2011 Photo of the Month: Results out!

December was when the year-end festivities lit up the Fotoflock screen. Many realms of happiness were captured by our family of flocks and shared for the world to see. To revel in the images and to do justice in picking the best, we asked Toru Nagahama to preside over the entries. So which amongst all the entries had him and our edit teams mesmerized? We have the results out for you!

Toru Nagahama About the Judge: Toru Nagahama first wandered off Tokyo’s shores 14 years earlier and has since then made London his home. Having graduated in Master in Communication Art and Design Course at the Royal College of Art in 2005, his recent moment of reckoning came with a nomination in the prestigious 29th Hitotsubo competition. His clicks have a way of bringing into life, even the mundane of the household items. Exploring his works, you could easily forgive yourself for eavesdropping into an animated conversation of the inanimate. In his humble baritone, he adds “I am more interested in how to make things interesting from boring subjects”.

“I love the idea of using everyday scenery like sky and tree, but applying different point of view to visualize something totally fresh and beautiful.”
