WINNER!

The gift of Magi

Debjani Chowdhury, The gift of Magi | Howrah     Epson PictureMate PM215
Akash Das says, “This photograph has a story & a mystery behind it. The old hands and the young hands, both are earthy & the wrinkles, it seems, are a mixture of roots and earth. The tender sapling  which is ‘life’ is the only hope for the new generation, is being  explained by the experienced hands. It’s a symbolic photograph.”

THE PRIZE: Debjani Chowdhury wins the Epson PM235.

Newton Biswas,
skeletons
Akash Das says, “This one is again very symbolic and storytelling photograph. The left side of the photograph has dead leafs and the skull on the right top on the dry earth is the reminder that, if you dont  take enough care to save the environment ( sapling) , soon, you will be life less too.”

Shanmugam Sriraman, Pollution in Himalayas | Kargil
Akash Das says, “This is a classic photograph of how the government itself is so callous about our environment. The sharp contrast between the pristine  envioronment and the dirty black smoke is shocking.”

Guest.
Agree with concern on losing one sapling for the sake of a photo. Wish they had taken the picture with the plant's root safely inside the soil where it belonged.
