Shooter - 'The Easy Life'. The result.

The Easy Life

So here we are once again. Another set of great shots, another set of winners, another reputed judge (sigh). So tiresome. So frightening. To see all these trigger-happy photographers sending in shots of this and that. That and this, in their ongoing quest for the elusive artistic perfection that sometimes stares back at them through the looking glass. Bam! And then- upload, wait and win. It was really that easy, wasn't it. It was indeed the easy life for some. 'Specially for these gentlemen (and one lady), listed here, down below. For the others, well, alas, life's a bitch. Next time.

Ronny SequeiraAbout the Judge: Ronny Sequeira is a renowned photographer who has been in the industry for over a decade. He has immense interest in black and white photography. His clientele includes Pepsi, Airtel, Samsung among many others. He enjoys shooting portraits of all kinds.

Shooter will be back. With yet another uncommon photochallenge.

Brilliant image. I would have been proud of it even if it was mine!

THE PRIZE: Deba Prasad Roy wins the Epson PictureMate PM215.
Epson PictureMate PM215

Easy lies the head... | Delhi Naintara Jain,Delhi - Easy lies the head.
Should have been vertical frame, which could have helped the picture in two ways. Firstly it would help remove the distractions from the background, the people on the right and secondly it would help the foreground to lead the eye into the image.

Rest | Bolpore

Joydeep Mukherjee, Kolkata – Rest.
Very interesting image, though it doesn't exactly go with the theme but I have given it the runner up status because of some classic rules being applied, namely, the rule of thirds and colour repetition
Sunbathing | DelhiS P Mukherji, Kolkata – Sunbathing.
Would have easily given it the first prize but unfortunately did not fit very well with the theme.
These deserving competitors earn the Fotoflock goodie bag!

Even Mr.Ronny Sequeira's comments about the pics is that the pics do not go with the theme ,then what is the fun in declaring a theme...

Certainly it must have been a winner for the theme "DIFFICULT LIFE"..None of the winning image depicts easy life in real here..
But a judgement is a judgement..
Congrats to the winners for that

Congrats Deba Prasad Roy, wonderful composition and picture.
Please Hon Judges, editor fotofloc dont mind, I have to say somthing. I agreed with Mr.Satsangi too. As Anil R Singh said winner picture is not appropriate and go with the theme. That is wonderful picture indeed but not as per theme, I guess.

Thank you!

I totally agree with Mr. Satsangi, when a theme is given Submitted picture should connected with that. Top award winning photograph may be excellent photo but there is nothing about "Easy life" in it, on the contrary, it shows how difficult life is.

WHEN A THEME IS GIVEN THE FIRST PRIORITY SHOULD BE
GIVEN TO THEME AND NOT TO THE BEAUTY OF A PICTURE.
SUBJECT,COMPOSITION EXPOSURE EVERYTHING SHOULD BE
CONSIDERED KEEPING IN MIND THEME.
OTHERWISE WHAT IS THE USE OF GIVING A THEME INSTEAD ASK PARTICIPANTS TO SEND GOOD PICTURES

Hey, thanks.
You're right about cropping it so that the attention goes to the napping cobbler.
I wanted to give a context, the people in the background were security watchmen and while they had to be alert, the cobbler appeared to be in his own world, sleeping peacefully. The watchmen were very amused at my interest and it was a pleasant moment, perhaps that's what inclined me to include everyone.

Though, we all need a certain amount of money to live, happiness and peace of mind is not directly proportional to the amount of material acquisitions.

What's in a goodie bag? Never won one before.
Here's to living and capturing more of life.
