Shooter – Street Stories: Results are out!

street_1

The leaflets of street stories are filled with outcasts, beggars, closed shutters, mystique, wrinkle creased foreheads, envious glances, broods of past, the fervor of life and the jostle of getting ahead. The Shooter Street Stories contest was where it all was put up on display. To preside over the entries and pick the most telling of all tales, we invited Mr. Sundeep Gujjar. So here are our four winners that walked a different street.

Sundeep-GajjarAbout the Judge: Sundeep Gajjar is also known as the “MotoGrapher”, which is an apt handle for what he loves and does – motorcycle travel and photography. His induction into motorcycling and photography was serendipitous, but ever since he got into it in 2006, he has not stopped. He likes to take photos in situ during his motorcycle rides by making most of what is available at that moment. He has traveled on some of the world’s most powerful and exotic motorcycles around India (twice), New Zealand (twice), Australia, Ireland, Italy including the Alps, Malaysia and a lot of the US. He has also recently ventured into high performance car travel photography. He is editor of the xBhp Motorcycling Magazine.

Sundeep says: “This photo is very atmospheric; this is what a street is about. Mysteries and the unknowns and the same have been captured perfectly.”

THE PRIZE: Arijit Dhar wins the Epson PM245.

Suvankar Chowdhury,
Waiting for... | Benaras

Sundeep says: “There is an element of mystery, the faded boat beckons the eye to penetrate the photo even more and fill in the missing details.”

Neha Singh, The melancholy on this old man's face stands out... | Hampi

Sundeep says: “Very sharp. A lot of hidden meanings can be discovered by experience and imagination. The neatly arranged coconuts show the man's experience, the threads around the trunk of the tree might show his faith.”
