| Â | Shooter, our unordinary photochallenge, received an extraordinary response this time around with the flock sending us over 370 entries in a week. We knew that judging the contest was going to be a mammoth task not just because of the sheer number but also the high quality and creativity portrayed in every single image. So we turned to one of the masters of Black and White photography, Prabuddha Dasgupta to do the impossible, to choose the top four images. And here they are, the winning entries of the Shooter: Classic Black and White contest.
About the Judge: A self-taught photographer, Prabuddha Dasgupta is known for his bold and individualistic style. He stormed into the world of photography with his controversial collection of portraits and nudes of urban Indian women called Women and has not looked back ever since. His work continues to be displayed in many international institutions like the Museo Ken Damy, Brescia, Italy, and Galleria Carla Sozzani, Milan, Italy. He has also worked for some of the best Indian, French, English, Italian and American magazines.

 Atanu Paul, Order | Kolkata.
Prabuddha says: Strong unique, personal perspective...original composition with strong graphic quality...great tonal distribution and above all an image of mystery and enigma showing little and leaving it up to the viewers’ imagination to complete the story. THE PRIZE: Atanu Paul wins the Epson PictureMate PM215.

With no offense to the shooter and shooter's efforts, I must say extremely incompetent image. Sorry nowhere close to many more much better entries.
