Shooter - 'City Contrasts'. The result.

Fotoflock Shooter
289 entries. We're happy. Happy that everyone had fun, either pulling out something stashed away or strolling the streets toting a
lens. That was, really, the whole point. We had fun too, putting this together in a jiffy. It appears,
though, that our honourable judge (above), had a tough time picking the deserving winner. A big thank you to him for the time and effort. Here they are, below. The comments, by the way, are all judge's.
SHOOTER will be back soon, with a new, unnerving challenge! So, as always, keep an eye out.

And the world goes by... | Haridwar
Sandipan Mukherjee, Dhakuria
This image speaks for itself and is well taken. Life goes by a crippled man and his disembodied artificial leg remains motionless as people walk by.

THE PRIZE. sandip wins the EPSON STYLUS TX101.

Once he used to rule this place | New DelhiEnrico Fabian, New Delhi
I felt this image (though a simple one) has conveyed a great deal. The elephant is at a crossroad it seems and the car lights, streetlight and markings on the road all bring focus to its expression of resignation to its place in the city and the inevitability of the passage of time. What once walked majestically is now a beast of burden waiting for cars to pass. A very poignant and beautiful image.

Traffic Jam | KolkataSirsendu Gayen, Kolkata
A truly wonderful image of a street scene. The sheep, man pulling another man and traffic all add up to give one a sense of a cities contrasts. I like the expression on the rickshaw wallahs face. Its quizzical and inquisitive as well.

Winds Of Change | Jaisalmer, RajasthanHirak Kanti Dutta, New Delhi
The remains of an ancient city while the beginnings of a modern city loom overhead. Simple, poignant and effective.
These deserving competitors earn the fotoflock goodie bag!

I think the the artificial limb should be closer to the natural feet but still it is a good pic.
