Guruduth Kamath

About me

I'm self trained in photography and computers. I hail from the town of Udupi in Karnataka.  I am interested in landscape and portraits. Right now my equipment consists of Canon 350D and its kit lens. I am planning to get a better model next year.

I have helped professional studio photographers to re-organise and adopt new technologies in photography and devised a package system for wedding photography in South Karnataka.

I'm also an avid trekker. I have trekked to places in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. I trekked to the base of Mt. Kanchenzona from the west side of Sikkim in 1993 and to the Sathopanth Lake in 1995. In 1997, I led the SP-5 team of the National Himalayan trekking Expedition which was organized by Y.H.A.I. Three years later, I trekked to "Pindari Glacier" (12, 800 s.ft) in the Kumaon Region of the Himalayas before exploring Muktinath, the lower mustang valley in Nepal in 2005. My last trekking expedition was in 2007 when I saw Tapovan and Nandanvan, the Gangotri glaciers.
