About me

I love photography. I guess that sums me up pretty well.

Q&A

Why do you think your photo should win the Photo of the Year (POTY) Contest?
It is simple, yet delivers the message effortlessly, with humour attached.

Who do you think is your biggest competitor?
I am a complete newbie in photography. I don’t think about competing. I am still learning from the people around me, trying to hone my skills to see the lovely frames around me, to capture them and show them to the world. I think I have a long way to go before I can think of competition.

How long have you been a photographer?
I got my D80 in February 2008. From then on I got seriously into photography.

What does photography mean to you?
It’s a passion, an art. It’s about capturing and preserving the emotion and the beauty of my subject.

What does your ideal day with a camera look like?
Like a date, taking my camera around with a lot of care and trying to show the world how I see it through my eyes.

Why should the flock vote for your photo?
If you appreciate my work, please vote for me.

I have known dizzie now for almost a year And really feel proud for him ...this is a great achievment ...even becoming a contender for the photo of the year .....well done . I have seen so many guys ...doing lots of kuch kuch and buk buk about photography and yet not delivering a single good shot . But you have always been a silent performer ...your photos are just great and has a silent story or strong humor / message behind them .You are a phenomenal photographer just keep going all my best wishes are with you .

I have had the privilege of viewing Diganta Gogoi work for about a year myself and I am always refreshed in his work. He is a individual that is not above his craft. Asking others opinions, view points and thoughts. You can see in each photo a uniqueness that is not followed in the others. It's shows me he is very versatile with a true love of photography. He is not dug into a single niche. He is much more than that taking on several different venues and dong them excellent, clean, bright and fresh. I look forward to his photographic legacy years to come.
