|  | An artist by training, a designer by profession, a photographer by aptitude. I started taking SLR pictures while in college and gathered steam over the years. I currently use a Canon 50D.
My main hobby is taking pictures and working on them, I spend most of the time looking at photographers’ works around the world and get inspired to click more. I enjoy finding new places and faces to photograph. In the recent months, I have taken to wedding photography; capturing and creating special memories of special days. |   | Q&A | | | Why do you think your photo should win the Photo of the Year (POTY) Contest?

Who do you think is your biggest competitor?
Well, I don't consider photography to be a competition. For me it's a passion so I would say that the only competition I have is with myself. I strive to get better at it as much as I can.
How long have you been a photographer?
I remember that the first photograph I ever clicked was when I was in 3rd standard. In 1996, I studied SLR photography with a Pentax K1000 in the University of Hyderabad. These days, I try to make the most of all the digital advantages available today to enhance my pictures.
What does photography mean to you?
I am a trained artist but I have gone beyond paper and canvas to the digital world. I experiment a lot with design and art. Photography has always been another medium of expression. With time, I have come to realise that photography best helps me capture what I see in this world around me. It is a passion and a pleasure as I get to capture special moments and beautiful subjects and show the world what I enjoy most about life!
What does your ideal day with a camera look like?
I don't think I have an ideal day as such and as an artist I see beauty in nearly everything. And when I do, I just click, click, and click some more.
Why should the flock vote for your photo?
Most of the pictures I have uploaded on Fotoflock or those I take in general are portraits. I think pictures of human beings are very interesting and have a universal appeal. I strive to show the oneness of humanity and the way we all inevitably connect with one another, through my work. That's why I usually capture people's expressions with my camera and those expressions are common to all. My portraits also emphasize the inherent beauty in all of us. People who see my work usually see themselves in my photographs or are reminded of someone they know, or some moment in their lives when they felt the same way. If they make that sort of connection with my work, or even if they simply appreciate the beauty of my subjects, I am sure they will vote for my photo. | |
