I primarily shoot landscapes and historical monuments. Hampi is my favourite place in the South of India. I love my country and love to show the beauty of this country to the world. I also travel extensively to shoot. I love going out there in the field before dawn and shooting landscapes from the first light. I also love shooting star trails in the midnight. I have also exhibited photographs at the 3 exhibitions so far. | | Q&A | | | Why do you think your photo should win the Photo of the Year (POTY) Contest? The Photograph was shot at Bodie, a ghost town in California. With a 28-135 mm lens on a 10D(44mm), i wanted to get a wide angle shot and shot it by laying on the floor. Bodie being a ghost town, the photograph captures a very rare human skull shaped cloud formation that was seen as coming out of the abandoned car like the Genie from Allaudin's lamp. It was Eerie to notice the skull formation in the clouds in midst of a ghost town. This is probably the only photograph of the Ghost town to have captured a human skull formation in the clouds. Who do you think is your biggest competitor? — How long have you been a photographer? 3 years. What does photography mean to you? Passion, Joy and a medium of Expression. What does your ideal day with a camera look like? Setting up pre-dawn or dusk and shooting in the wild or in the hills, mountains, rivers and resting during the day or having fun with the localities. Why should the flock vote for your photo? I believe in expressing my joy in my photographs and bring the best that nature or this world has to offer, to the lay man through my photographs. Voting for me will motivate me to show the world the wonders of the earth. | |
