About me

A software engineer by profession, my work has been featured in photography magazines and I have also been actively involved on other photo forums. You can check out my gallery to see the kind of photos I take.

Q&A

Why do you think your photo should win the Photo of the Year (POTY) Contest?
Many wonderful things happen around us all the time; being able to see them is easy, but being able to capture that very moment is probably the hardest part. I believe that I have done that and would like my photograph to speak for itself. There should be a pay off for hard work and my photo deserves that.

Who do you think is your biggest competitor?
I believe I am competing with myself. I want to know what I am capable of, more than anything else. Since I have profound interest in different subjects, the competition is therefore, in many ways, between my photographs.

How long have you been a photographer?
A self taught photographer, I started photography in 1999. My profession led me to travel all around the world. When I saw beautiful places, animals, creatures and flowers, my mind always wanted to capture them. Undoubtedly nature, in all its faces, is my favorite subject.

What does photography mean to you?
Photography is art, science, skill, technology, emotion, lightness and darkness all put together to convey a message. I view life through the frame of the camera and photography really relieves all my stress. For me, photography means to deliver some visual evidence or message or story you have encountered and share it with others.

What does your ideal day with a camera look like?
The ideal day would be early morning with mild and soft sunlight or during the sunset.

Why should the flock vote for your photo?
I believe curiosity is an incredibly useful characteristic to have as a photographer as it helps me to notice things others are oblivious to and it drives me to find new ways to show ‘normal’ items. I believe this curiosity of mine will attract viewers to my images. My pictures have great potential to get the votes.
