CarWale, India’s leading online car portal had recently organised an annual gathering of vintage and classic cars. The drive was flagged off from Inorbit Mall, Vashi and the proud owners drove these cars on a challenging route up the ghats to the Duke’s Retreat, Khandala. The convoy of more than 50 cars, included a 1914 Ford Model ‘T’, a 1925 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, a 1932 Lancia Astura, a 1934 Packard, a 1947 Studebaker Champion, a 1952 Jaguar, a 1956 Volkswagen Beetle and many such beauties from a bygone era.

The event also included a week long exhibition before the drive where vintage cars were put on display to the public. To ensure active participation from spectators, a photography contest was organised this year wherein spectators were asked to take photos of the cars on display and submit them to CarWale either by email or by uploading them on www.carwale.com.

The contest saw over 200 entries vying for the top spot which was eventually won by Ms. Shalaka Dali. Epson was among the main sponsors of the contest.
