1. How do I upload photos to the gallery?
To upload your ‘portfolio’ to the Fotoflock.com Gallery, you need to be a registered member of the flock (Fotoflock.com community). To register, click here and follow the steps.
2. I have registered, but still cannot upload photos… help.
A common mistake many make is not go over to the Gallery section. If you have signed in, click on “Gallery” in the top menu. Click “Your Album” from the top links (if you are signed in; if not, sign in and then click) and choose “Add Items” from the left menu. Choose the photos on your computer and upload them.

3. How can I participate in the Photo of the Month Contest?
The Photo of the Month (POTM) contest automatically enters all Photo of the Day (POTD) entries for a month. To have a POTD, you need to just have a Portfolio in the Fotoflock Gallery. Our editors go through the photos daily and choose one as the POTD. There is no other way to have a POTD and therefore enter the POTM contest.

No, these photos will not be entered for either contest. As described in question 3, only photos from the Fotoflock Gallery can be entered in the POTD/POTM.
5. How can I receive my prizes?
If you are the winner of a Fotoflock contest but haven’t yet received your prize, email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we will look into it. To ensure that you get your prizes, please be sure to mention your complete postal address including zip code and also your phone number when entering a contest or submitting details.
6. My name is not mentioned in the Members Gallery. Why?
The Members Gallery lists all members of Fotoflock. This list includes (primarily) those users who have a portfolio in the Gallery. If you are have signed up, but don’t have your Portfolio, there is a good chance your name may not be in the Members’ Gallery. It’ll be added, but the faster, surer way of having your name is to upload photos to the Gallery.
7. Is your website free?
Free as in beer. Yes, the site is completely free for visitors, registration and photo uploading.
8. How much capacity does the site offers to store photos?
There is no limit on how much you can upload. Just remember that individual photos cannot be heavier than 2MB.

In case this is not the problem you are facing, you should also see if:
- You have clicked on the confirmation link mailed to you on registration. If you can’t find this, please also check the SPAM/JUNK folders that sometimes tend to catch mails.
- You should also check if you are entering the correct password. Passwords are case-sensitive. This means that Abcdef is not the same as abcdef.

Hope these answers your queries:
1) POTDs are choosed from our gallery & user uploads. It is not necessary for the photo to have been uploaded recently or on that day to be adjudged the POTD.
2) Your photo needs to first make the cut as a POTD. It will then automatically qualify for the POTM of that month. So, all the best! Yoy don't have to do anything more than to keep on uploading as much & as many beautiful pictures you can click.
3) If your picture makes the cut, we immediately inform the photographer via an e-mail.
4) No.
5) It can be any. With so many Flockians uploading on a regular basis, we try to feature as many of our users as soon as we can.

1# Sir, May I know that how the 'Photo of the day' is selected. It is shown that those photos are selected for the 'Photo of the day' they were uploaded 250 to 300 days ago. Generally it is shown that 'Photo of the day' is selected from those photos which are uploaded on that particular day.

I have registered with the fotoflock but somehow I am not able to upload my photos. The progress bar shows 100% and the text is 'uploading...' but does not go beyond it. Am I missing on something?

but u should have a tool that converts the images automatically to the maximum uploadable size (1 mb)!!
Its a problem for the members to resize every image before uploading!!
Please guide what to do in such case, how to resolve this error.

I have tried uploading multiple and well as single images all below 1MB onto my album at different times of the day but there seems to be a problem with you site. The images just dont upload. Request you to look into the same asap.
Technical snags on your site are ruining the experience!
1. 1 MB Limit per photo is great but there needs to be a tool at your site that automatically converts the submitted image to the max allowable size. Expecting the same to be done by the members is disappointing as this feature is a bare minimum provided by other sites.
2. Being able to view the images on a black background while viewing the images it is almost an aesthetic requirement for any serious photographer. The current white background robs the images off their beauty.
Sincerely hope that you fix these asap, before people start loosing interest out of your otherwise wonderful site.

Is it necessary to have albums or can the phtographs be uploaded individually and not in albums?
You can resize your images using Photoshop, Irfan viewer or even the Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
I am getting problem when i am trying to upload photo. My Photo size is 1.89 MB. But upload page showing that only 1 MB file size can be uploaded. not 2 MB.
Can you please look that matter. And my request is to please increase the max file size 3 to 4 MB or provide some application online for reduce the file size.
