@Parul- As of now you can participate in our Shooter contests, the details on which you will find on the homepage and the January Photo of the Month contest (POTM)for which you'll have to register and upload your images in our gallery section. If any of your images is chosen as the Photo of the Day, it will be selected as an entry for the POTM contest.

How do i upload my pix's to FOTOFLOCK ,It's bit confusing....Plz give some details.

@fotofreak: You will need to reduce the file size using a software like Photoshop before uploading them to the gallery.
@harsh: You need to login to the gallery and add photos to your album (which is where you will log in to).

The size of most of my pictures lie between 2 to 3 Mb. But the maximum upload limit for a file is 2 Mb. Please guide me how to upload the pictures of size greater than 2 Mb.

@Comment 76/77/78: Having a photo selected to POTD is simple. You need an album in the Gallery section. FF editors regularly check and choose photos based on their quality. The length of your membership, number of photos in the Gallery or any other factors do not affect the choice.

do not reveal the name of the photographer or the number of votes received. Evevery month, at random you may select a couple of judges from photographer friends and request them to judge. During that month their photographs should be excluded from the contest. This would stop soliciting votes from friends.

The good and the bad=all start in the US. The rest of the world follows it without even questioning whether it is right or not. Member voting in the contest is one such bad example

It is a false belief that the choice of the photo of the month by popular vote is the best. If I have an image of a potential model , she spreads the info which increases the number of visits. As Harmeet suggested, having a panel of judges to decide would be a better option .

Ithe photo of the month contestis very good to motivate young photographers like me,but the voting system is not fair.One having a number of friends or more addiction to computer will vote his photo more than anyone else.
Kindly judge yourself and announse so that none feels cheated.

You did not consider my suggestion about including all entries in a month for the best in a month's contest. I would like to know what is your criterion for selecting a handful of submissions to be entered in a contest. There are so many other good entries to be considered for the best in October.

Thank you for taking swift action in removing the photographer "KARAN" form the member gallery for infringement of copyright for using my photographs as his own on his gallery. There is another person "NATARAJAN" page 9 violating using SONY's images on its launch of the VAIO computers and claiming to be his own.

what if you put up fotoflock gallery in alphabetical order?

I find Photo of the month contest interesting. It looks quite intriguing that some one has received more than 400 votes and there are others who have not got even ten votes. I think like national goegraphic all the photos of the month should be voted for, to a scale of ten, by the viewers or none of them.

In all fairness, that is what we all should do. I do not even know Mallik, he is a great photographer

I do not see any of Mallik's photos. Each and everyone of them is a gem. I do not see his beautiful creations in the monthly contest. To be fair you need to include all the entries in september 2008. Voting by members at times appears to be an unfair practice.

How is it you do not have all the photos uploaded in Sep. in the monthly contest?

Thanks for your feedback. In the Gallery, on the top, post login, you will see "Your Album". This will take you to your album. Also, as soon as you login, you will first be taken to your album. However, Fotoflock.com deletes albums that have had no activity for over 48 hours since creation.
