This album whispers about my recent visit to a Govt. provided free school at a village in Haryana;whose mission is to fight poverty and stimulate development by providing free, high quality education, vocational training and health care to the poorest rural communities, with a special emphasis on the situation of the female in rural society.The experience was far more overwhelming & i can say a bit life changing than i expected.The interaction with these poor kids was awesome,they were so surpised,excited & felt special that someone came to shoot them.By spending time with these stars,i came to know more about myself too. The most interesting part was the interaction with the girl students,our nation is really progressing towards the brighter ray of hope.Nowadays the time has changed,even in rural areas,parents are concerned about the importance of female education.Life in the village is still at least a century behind ‘modernity’ in almost every area of activity. The only way to kick-start change is through education, as there is no other way that people will come to learn broader ways of thinking, and better ways of doing things. The day started with their daily morning assembly to thank the God for their present which will serve their future.They were so innocent,charming,nimble;some were nervous against the camera & some were like little superstar themselves.Then their classes begun,thanks to the school mgmt.they gave me full flexibility to shoot in classes.Govt. provides free uniform,books & stationary,food for them.They are the representatives of the upcoming future,so they have to be properly nurtured.I talked with some of the children about their lives in school & after school;what their parents do for living;how they manage to provide them essential needs. After several hours,it was time for their lunch,govt. introduced the free "Mid-Day Meal" program few years back which is becoming very helpful for these poor kids;because some of these kids are not even able to arrange food sufficiently.School Mgmt. provides proper diet plan & nutritious contents to ensure the betterment of these kids.I too tried my hands in their so called kitchen setup where they prepare their food;then i helped them to serve food & shared meal with them.I can't explain how they were overjoyed with that experience,even I too felt some change in myself after that timespan. They take their miserable lives as a gifted asset by God makes us feel small against them that how a well-off society(us) isn't satisfied yet.If you want to see how a life can be carried out,go see them.
